Pencil jets 2mm,they perform best on the new type PVC leadlights but are hard work on big pane glass and are rubbish on first cleans.

I`ll tell you another thing the bentley brush does,it can rub paint off window`s a lot easier than softer brushes.Don`t forget it`s only a floor broom,£2.50 from Asda you can buy the brush and jets for under a fiver.

It`s to heavy for upstairs work all the time but you don`t know it on downstairs work,i use a small 9" mono for nearly all my upstairs work as i can rinse on the glass.Using a flocked brush on tops is to much like hard work as your more likley to leave bits behind,i use mono for tops and flocked for bottoms.

Just had a look at the Cleantech brush, on there site.

There selling it with ether, normal fan , narrow fan or pencil jets.

Anyone used NARROW fan jets?

How do there compare with pencil jets it terms of water useage ect.

Brush looks good though.

I use the Bentley brush for everything, and it has two 2ml pencil jets, it's fine, a perfectly good brush and lasts about 6 months or so.

It is slower on first cleans, low density of bristles means that on dirty glass you have to scrub very thoroughly, but how many first cleans do you do a week?

As the bristles are also very springy, it is only the bristle tips that are in contact with the glass, with a brush like to Ionics double trim, there is a greater density of bristles per square inch, and they are floppier too, hence it is not just the tips that scrub the glass, ergo it will wash any given area more thoroughly. But of course it is also way heavier and more likely to retain contaminants.

On big panes of glass it is fine, I do an awful lot of commercial stuff, loads of shops and offices with huge panes of glass, absolutely no problems whatsoever, if you feel it is slow, just increase the flowrate.

You can DIY them of course, but at under £20 why bother? Fine though if you enjoy dabbling then knock yourself out! ;)

Most of the brushes in use are not specialist window cleaning brushes, they are mostly floor brushes that have been adapted, or car washing brushes in the case of many of the Vikan ones.

No one brush is all singing, all dancing, and it is so subjective, what one person loves, another will hate.

Give the bentley a pop, DIY it, blow a fiver! What have you got to lose?

Yes they are until the new one comes out. I agree with all the posts about the Bentley, the biggest pro going for it is light weight. I did a first clean with mine today and would say it was adequate for the job - no more than that but for maintenance cleans it's fine. Still prefer the Addis mono at the moment.

go to asda and buy a bentley broom, at £1.49,throw the handle away, drill out a couple of holes for the jets, gule them in and away you go....cheap as chips
