I have been in the cleaning sector for a few years and a few of my customers have asked if I do carpet cleaning, can anyone recomend a machine to buy as the range is vast?

If you have limited experience I'd go to Prochem as they will give you free course if you buy one of their machines and that is priceless, Ashbys in Kent to the same and also our sponsor at the top.

Buy a buffer, pads, sprayer, sebo vac , rake, 7-800 all in and build up from there.
No need for 3k plus layout on electric extractor which you will break before you break even. for upholstery, kleenrite sphere at £1400 brand new is a great little machine.

that Kleenrite of yours is really good value for money, if I were starting from afresh I would go the low moisture route to start and then take it from there with the added Kleenrite for upholstery and spot removal as Jason says.

If you are going for straight forward hot water extraction go on a 1 day course you will need to know some basics.

Thanks Shawn & Jason, Ive been looking at the Prochem and also the course which I will now definatly attend, I will also do some more research into the upholstery machine.
Just out of interest I have seen some adverts for the Rug doctor wot do you think is it upt ???o the job or do I stay well clear?

Not what I would buy and also it doesn't look professional as anyone can hire one.

The bigger the machine the easier it is clean with and the less chance you'll have with over wetting is a good rule to thumb but you do need advice on what you are about to do, we all have seen bad workmanship due to ignorance so don't go there you will do yourself a favour.

Thanks for the advice Shawn, I will do the course first and cont to research which machine to buy I am 90% sure it will be the one you recommend & dont worry I wouldnt think about entering a customers house unless I felt I could do a good job there are to many cowboys out there & I also have the reputation of my business I have build up over the last couple of years! I go by the old saying fail to propear, propear to fail.
