Anyone had this before?
« on: January 09, 2008, 10:19:09 pm »
6 hours my tank has been filling up in the van with pure water,
its normally full to the brim now, but its only half full for the second day running, in fact it wasnt even full this morning after being on all night......, the pressure going through the Ro via hose pipe is normal yet all i have is a pathetic trickle into the tank.....

anyone ever had this problem.

Cheers

Gary.

your filters in your ro unit may need replacing, i hear this can affect water production, although iv only had my unit for few mth so no need to replace mine and therefore cant speak from experience

yeh, you dont need to take them off, just unscrew them until the water starts trickling down the side, move to the next till water runs down side till youve done all three, leave them run for a min to release all the air, and do them back up, and not too tight!

Definitely the first filter clogging up and slowing down production :)

If it's the 5 micron one, it's on offer for a £1

This happened to me & after replacing all 3 filters it was solved. For the cost saving its not worth replacing one filter at a time.

One other thing I've noticed, when the water company are doing repair works in your local area be prepared to have to replace your filters petty quickly. All that silt clogs them up.

Turn the tap off ;D

Seriously,  use a rubber wrap around strap wrench and remember to turn anti-clockwise to remove :)
