Indoor bowling green carpet
« on: January 10, 2008, 09:12:59 pm »
Hi. I've been asked if I can clean an indoor bowling green carpet. It is manufactured by this company http://www.corsiegroup.com/surfaces/bowling.aspx the carpet is a semi-worsted polypropylene yarn.

the company say it can only be cleaned by them. i'm not sure if it is a ploy to make more money.

I use cold water extraction with a sebo duo and premium fineline + wonderwand.

Has any one any idea about this?

cheers
paul

p.s. no guesses. this carpet cost £30,000

I would edge on caution and use a dry compound, not a very good clean, but safe, or walk away if not sure

Once I had to vacuum one, once a week for 10 weeks. Big area. :'(

Sould be safe to wet clean as its polypropolene.  Test first.  Qualify the results as they can be worn and faded at both ends where they bowl from.

They have special underlay so dont get it wet as the carpet is very thin to begin with.

Again a big area so help would be required with a portable.
