Hydramaster Raptor
« on: January 11, 2008, 10:05:33 pm »
Got a bit of a problem with my Raptor the actual casing seems to be coming loose. When i lift the handle at the back of the machine the casing comes up about an inch the clips at the front are tight shut there are 2 bolts at the back thatwork like hinges but you cant tighten them. When i opened it up there seems to be a slight crack in the casing about 6cm long ive been banging up and down stairs lately the machine  is still under warranty apart from that its working fine do you think i will have to send it back.cheers Darren

Not conversant with the Raptor.
Why not take a photo and email it to them.
I had a crack in the water tub of my CFR500, sent photo to the supplier and a warranty job was booked within hours.
Good service from Matt, Cleansmart, Nottingham

Spoke to hydramaster today not looking good i told them about the casing being loose and there seems to be a small crack inside they said they have never heard of this before so i will have to send it back.I asked how can it be fixed he said they would have to order a new base for the machine from America as they have never seen this before but wait for the best bit he said the warranty dosent cover this and asked if i had dropped it and then said it sounds if its been dropped out of the van.I said there is hardly a scratch on it and you would be able to tell if i had dropped it out of the van as it weighs a ton.Its only 5 months old i hardly take it up stairs because of the weight so to me i cant see this being my fault just have to wait and see.

If the machine only 5 months old then I would have thought a warranty does apply, so I think he will be wrong on that point.

The matter of abuse or not is a separate issue.

This is where the quality of after sales service gets highlighted - good or poor.
Sounds like they are wriggling already.
Who was this guy? You need to speak to somoeone in authority, whoever he was, work upward.

Phoned hydramaster today thats the machine sorted it was something to do with the bolts that hold the machine together.Inside the machine theres pins that stop the bolts from moving i think they came loose or fell out  anyway Hydramaster done a good job get machine back tomorow.
