Bill

this is your business. without a active database you have a van with some very expensive equipment in it.

without doubt carpet cleaners fail to do this. How many times have you seen people selling equipment when they are going out of business and they don't have a database for sale.

ACT is the very best in field you can keep info from when and what letters you send to customer history. where they are in your sales process. and grouping them this helps with the message to market match.

you can get act from amazon.

One small point forget discount that sound cheap and i am sure you are not that or would what to be seen as that. add value to your service give extras that others don't. this is a better reason for people to choose you and works in the same way.

I tend to use business cards software http://www.fatfreesoft.com/util.php.
Cheap but handy.
