Best Vacuum Cleaner
« on: December 18, 2007, 02:08:21 pm »
What (in your opinion) is the best vacuum cleaner out there that has the ability to vibrate the carpet fibres to loosen the grit etc. and have the vacuum power to vacuum the dry soil. Tub vacuums such as the Numatic Henry are cheap and robust but not very good at getting the dry soil from within the fibre and carpet base but a twin vacuum upright cleaner will do a better job. What are your thoughts of the Sebo BS range? are there better vacuum cleaners on the market? If so, what are your views on this all important issue on cleaning carpets?

There are lots of good upright vacuums to choose from on the market, Sebo dart 2, the bs models, oreck commercial, Royal, Nilfisk, etc. Depends on what you intend to use it for, ie domestic or commercial. You will find that there is no one vacuum that everyone will recommend as what is good for one person, is rubbish to another. I personally use the Dart 2 and find this powerful enough for most of my work, and has also been ultra reliable. I also have a Chemspec pile lifter and various other large vacuums which do not leave the garage very often.

Hi Derek.
Would you be interested in selling your Chemspec Pilelifter?
I had one about 17 years ago, I remember it being a serious bit of kit.
