Pump Problem
« on: November 21, 2007, 07:23:50 pm »
Anybody had same problem as me my shurflo pump has been throu 4 power swithes( in last six months ) thats the black housing on top of pump.
I Was told by pump supplyer that the microbore pipe i use is not suitable so on the shurflo pump i have changed to half inch hose but yesterday pump started playing up again . The flojet pump i have as my second pump has lasted 3 years no prob. Also i have one of each pump in my sons van with microbore and there over four years old with no problems.

You can buy a switch for a couple of pounds to go in the black casing.  I have been using a relay with the pumps and so far it has been quite successful but only time will tell.

Do you have a bypass fitted in the system?

No bypass fitted does that help. I have been buying the full switch at £26 a time
so its a bit pricey were do you buy yours from if you can say.

If you want to give me a ring tomorrow on 01506 856390 or 07751 964 450 I can explain how you change them over, and how to fit the relay.  I also have a small video of how to add a by-pass in to your setup.
