Better off posting in the general cleaning section.

You dont polish laminate floor, there is nothing to polish because all it is is strips of MDF with fake-wood laminate finish stuck to it. Where would a polish go? It isn't porus. The way to clean it is to vacuum it throughly with a cylinder vacuum cleaner and then mop with a tightly wrung out mop. It dries quickly and has its own semi-matt appearance. Also I would suggest that before you consider doing anything to a clients floor (other than vacuuming it and damp mopping) you ask the client what they want. Never go ahead and attempt to polish or seal or whatever a clients floor until you have their approval.

Hi Guys

Good post Glenda.

I rarely touch laminate, but if a custy wants all the floors cleaned I spray buff .

That is a light spray of a mild cleaning agent and then clean with white pad, turn over and 'polish'

Comes up quite well.

Cheers

Doug

Yes white pad on a buffer does a good job. i am not sure what the cleaning field the authour of this post is in, i spoke on the assumption they do general domestic house cleaning like i used to do. On that basis i would only damp mop as it is unusuall to have the time to be buffing it, but if the job is cleaning just floors then i agree the white pad is the way to go.
