I must admit that`s a real pain in the A*** when your 2 miles down someones drive out in the middle of knowwhere LOL.

just don't pull it tight, once i've pulled the amount of hose out i need, i have to walk back to the van anyways to shut the doors so i lay the hose directly on the floor, no need to pull it tight!

I just take my reel out of the van, stick a sign over it (if on road not 2 miles down a drive   ) take my pole press fob to lock van and walk, this saves alot of time over a month   and I have only been doing it a few weeks, I always look at way to optimise my time as I seem never to have enough of it, if only they made a days 48 hour I would be sorted well at leats time I filled up the 48 hours in a day

I make the water in the garage all day with the RO, it go's in a 1000 tank and then pumped to the van 650 tank job done!
