Insurance on work being carried out.
« on: November 12, 2007, 04:01:53 pm »
Previous posts have asked about insurance on the work being carried out at the time.

Done some reserch as I thought I was covered.......not the case.

Fed of Window cleaners through Allied insurance came out with £1500 of tool cover one of the best butyou must be a member of the fwc which is not a bad thing. (£262.50 for 1mil cover inc work being carried out at time) £250 excess. To become a member it costs £105ish for a single user inc set up costs.

The next best was Glemham £321.56 for sim to above....However you do not need to be a member of fwc. Go to the APWC web site for details.

This has left me in a dilema as I would like to be a member of the APWC. I will have to fork out another £100 if I go with Allied after registering with FWC.

The problem is Andy....Which fed is the best?

At the moment I see benifits in all of them......But which ones are realy active on the wc's behalf?

You can always @ your opinion and will be much apreciated.

That goes for Alex and any others as well.

Thanks
Rob

It does seem fresh and Alex does post /seem active.

Like your site Window Washers.

I would like to have a site but need to know that it will pay for itself. Im in W Sussex and a small operator at the moment...your site gives reason for thought.

You can @ me if you think you could help.

Rob

Try these for a quote, they offered me a good price for windows being worked on, i went with "Groupama" in the end as i am an employer and price was the factor for me. I am not covered for windows being worked on but never had the need for that cover.

Also have a look through the insurance list here

If you need anymore help let me know.

Here is who i am with, cheapest i could find for 3 employees

http://www.groupama.co.uk/products/sme/otp/default.asp

Just like to say, we could of gone down the members only insurance route, but we feel all insurance policies should be available to everyone not just our members.

There are many companies out there and prices vary year to year, so it would be a bit foolish for us to tie ourselves to one.

You have to decide what you want , price or quality policy or a certain element of both.
