Another question for Alex Gardiner
« on: December 07, 2007, 04:24:32 pm »
Alex, you know what it's like trying to reach those awkward windows on 3rd floors when they're set back and at an angle.  You need a pole with about 35' reach but one that will survive the bendy angles..You know the ones we all wish we didn't have to do.
My question is:  Would the new SL-X that you are teasing us with take the strain of bending at a serious angle without risking a snap better than the modular SL -2?

Thanks
Pj

I do such windows with the SL-2 at 45ft on third storey windows set sideways beyond a parapet! On some I even pivot the SL-2 half-way up on the stone wall. The SL-2 is very tough and should not snap under such use.

The SL-X is even tougher though! I was cleaning third storey dormer windows with it yesterday at a 45 degree angle due to some serious undergrowth in my way. It probably has about 6x times the lateral strength of the Super-Lite sections.
