I believe that the Escort (a blue hire type machine?) is by Karcher. If so, the name has varied over the years, but it was from the Puzzi range. I think the Hagerty (brown) was the same too.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Hi Ken,

Your absolutely right.  Karcher have redesigned the Puzzi Range but should that part have changed many of the dealers keep parts for or parts of the old machines.

Changing the subject did you feel you got good value from the £57.50 per head meal plus parking at the Excel dinner?

Hi Keith

Re Excell Dinner. I initially had reservations about the price, but then realised it included a/some reception drinks and ample wine at the table. I do enjoy quality dining, and the type of restaurants I enjoy locally would typically charge about £40 to £45 for a meal of the standard at Excel, but only allowing for half a bottle of wine per person. So all in all, considering "London prices" it was acceptable. Not great but acceptable.

I found the quality of the food to be very good, but lacking in vegetables. I don't regard a single floret of brocoli to be a portion of "market garden vegetables". Ian Richards brought this up with the waiter and then the management. Apologies were accepted and all on our table received a  complimentary brandy or liquer to make up for our disappointment ;D

Safe and happy dining :)

Hi Ken,

I understand now why I eat in Restaurants and not Hotels.   It may be just my innate meanness.   But now its worse!   If only I had complained properly I would at least of gone to bed pleasantly tipsy instead of letting my main course go cold waiting for the non-existent vegetables.

Was I right when I felt that if you took away the exhibitors, the NCCA directors and the window cleaners there weren't many of the rest of us there?

Regards,

Keith

How many is many Keith?

My table were all working CC's: me, Jerry O'Sullivan, John Hawkins, Ian Richards. I can remember seeing Martin Lightbown and yourself. Steve Carpenter can wear two hats. Ther are bound to be others, but I just can't remember. I know you weren't counting directors, but they're all working CC's too. I suppose you're right, there weren't that many. There were probably more back in the bar at the Travel Inn :'(  Or perhaps it was only the more handsome and talented people who had their application accepted 8)

Safe and happy networking :)

Hi Guys,

Re Carpex,

There were seven of us at the chinese not far from the Travel Inn where for £20 a head we had an excellent meal. There were a lot of chinese eating which is always a good sign in a chinese restaurant.

Afterwards we met up with lots of others at the hotel plus some suppliers.

Cheers,

Doug

I got a better deal than that on Saturday Night. We took up trip "Up West" to watch a show. We went to a small European Restaurant just off The Strand. Mainly Greek and Spanish influence. Had a cracking Table d'Hote menu, 3 courses for £8.95 8) Wine was reasonable too.

Safe and happy eating :)
