New here and looking for your help and maybe help some of you too. I am starting a new website called Roundswap (www.roundswap.co.uk). The idea is to allow operators to swap Jobs which are outside of their main area with another operator , concentrating your Jobs into a smaller area. 
 
If you have a job to to which you have to travel a long distance, maybe there's someone else with the opposite journey. They've got a job near your house and you've got one near theirs! The site aims to put you in touch and maybe you could swap with each other saving you both time and money, while you're on the road your not earning.
 
Currentley the site is within Jobswap which caters for any occupation but I think a dedicated site for the Window cleaning industry might be useful. Go to the site and click on self employed. I'd really like input from as many people as possible to make the site useful.

I am taking a stab in the dark here, but are you a window cleaner, or have you evern do this?

maybe i am a bit cynical , but i think it will never work in a month of sundays, i have tried to get a few jobs swapped with local windows and i just waste my breath, If i have stuff outside my catchment area i either refuse it or pass it on with no strings attatched.

Maybe i am wrong , but i have never had a job swapped and only one other window cleaner has ever passed work on to me, I think we are a selfish lot if we get work we tend to be very attatched to it and will keep it forever.

Have to agree with dave on his comments, another thing is price some are higher paid than others.
An example a window cleaner in newcastle has office 30 windows charges £20 window cleaner in london has same and charges £90.

The ideas not really to swap whole rounds just jobs to which you have to travel further than you'd like. You just put the out of the way jobs in the database and the area you'd prefer to work, the computer does the rest and matches you with someone with the opposite journey, I could even put the price in as an option. The sites up and working now (www.roundswap.co.uk) but I need more feedback on how to best suit you guys.
