hi window washers i've been wfp 13 months. 2yrs trad
still no expert by any strech of the imagination.

heard between £50-£70 to charge for con roofs and do spring-autum if someone wants roof done more say twice a yr then i would knock off say 20%30% depending how bad.

I.e if it was quite green the 1st time and they say they don't want it to get like that again then i say i'l give a discount next time if done within 6 months.
done about 12 con roofs now.

Con roofs now make me loadsa £££,s   ;D

There isnt an option for voting that covers what I do.

Here it is:  I do the first clean say £50 to £150 depending on size and condition. Then I offer a spring and Autumn clean at half the price of the 1st clean to keep em up to scratch. Now..  here is the trick. I dont do the Cons during normal window cleaning conditions. I do them in anything over moderate rainfall. The custies dont have a prob about having them done on a specific day or even week. That way I am out and about earning very good money while most other WC's are sittin at home. The work is dead easy to get from ur existing customers.

Don't offer this as an option every time. 1 it will seem very expensive to the custy and 2 it will slow you down far too much at what will be a very low rate when you actually work out what it gains you.

Yeah I already do soffits n stuff as well Ian. I should clear something up here. I work on windows in light to moderate rain. Chuckin it down it's no go mate. You will get spottin and stuff if you do.

Another advantage of doin Con roofs in real rain is that the rain has done half of the work for you mate  :)  It makes it a lot faster to do the clean when it is already well soaked through  ;)

Well Ian.. I,ve tried it and it doesn't work for me. With really heavy rain you usually get a lot of wind whch splats the big heavy raindrops on to surrounding brickwork, plants, trees, widow boxes with flowers in them etc etc. Besides I can earn more most very rainy days on the extra stuff like con roofs than I would doing just the windows. :)

Window washers. When you try it, you may not like it. With wfp it is still miserable and you have to look UP into the rain and get a soaking freezing face - especially in winter.

It aint all that. But you do earn. I stay at home.

Wet hands in an easterly wind with a wet ladder, nothing beats the agony and pain that comes with that. Funnily enough once you go through that pain barrier, I call it 'the burn' the ladder then seems fine.

Roll on January/February  :o
