Ducktape on PVC?
« on: October 03, 2007, 04:35:49 pm »

Hi guys,

I've done a builders clean this week and the guy phoned me today asking why I never removed the duck tape from the frames. So I told him that I had endeavoured to remove it, whoever this adhesive is that aggressive that it simply will not come away from the frames. There is also a clear tape on the frames that will not come away unless scraped by a credit card and the manufacturers tape has been on the frames that long that it is perished and comes off in small amounts the size of a full stop and each frame would probably take an hour to do and there are about 100 frames in total. Do you guys have any ideas as to how it can be removed. The site manager is hell bent on using petrol but I can't see it having much of an effect. What would you guys try?

Petrol might work, or wd40, the titan oilflo is good as well , but all will involve a lot of time and elbow grease, charge well and maybe next time the site manager will be a little more careful about what he allows to be put on the frames
