Susan, you will get a de browning chemical from most suppliers, follow the instructions and give the full dwell time .

Watermarking is usually due to uneven drying, which could be due to poor drying conditions, or possibly overwetting.

Might be wise to use a turbo drier. I've left them overnight on the odd occasion.

Its a bit risky useing debrowning prescription on a suite ! I would prefer to use chemspec haition cotton cleaner made up stronger it gives dilution for water marks on the back of container

BE WARNED !

If you use chemicals that you are not familar with, and cause more damage, it will then become YOUR PROBLEM !

Also the other cleaners insurance may refuse to pay out because they will blame you.

If in doubt just clean it with your standard chems and leave it at that.

Above advice is good.
Basically the prievious cleaner has either over wet the suite or used a high PH chem with no neutralisation on the rinse.
I would advise the customer that If I was to proceed with the cellulistic browning that the following would apply and also put it in writing on the quote sheet ,signed.

1. The browning may be permanent and may not be fully removable.

2. A follow up visit may be required to attend to any wick back .

3, Price would be  XXX amount whether successfull or not.

Most of the time it is fairly straight forward and a browning prescription or an acidic rince is suffice to remedy the problem.

Another thing is don't just do the brown line do the full section seam to seam or you may leave your own water mark.

Good point Shaun and another reason for watermarks I forgot to mention, was failure to clean the complete panel, which as Shaun pointed out is a common cause of watermarks.
