VERY VERY POOR SHOW
« on: September 20, 2007, 04:55:18 pm »
I need to rant and get this off my chest.
Tuesday week ordered 40/40 R/O and booster pump
promised it latest Monday this week.
RO-MAN not manning phones as they are at an exhibition somewhere???
Only get email responses (really helpful when you are on the road all day)
To cut a very long story short they reckon it was dispatched last week to the wrong address  ??? ???
Ok I says then send me the tracking details as I think I smell a rat ???
Cannot do that it would breach that customers HR under data protection ??? ???
OK i am not happy but they tell me yesterday that goods would be dispatched and they were by UPS .Tracking no. received. Yipee!!!
I have now had a van off the road for three days costing me £££'s
Goods get delivered today I was out courier left in arranged location so unsigned for.
Minor danage to box but hey -they are couriers - no markings on the box ststing fragile ,etc
Yes you've guessed it .
It is broken only a plastic type conector that joins the pre-filters but one end is in bedded so if I try and get it out I could damge that.
There are also no instructions as how to set it up.
Loads of connectors dangling but no diagram  ??? ???
The £200 booster pump has not even got a power cable I am expected to go buy some cable and plug etc.
They still have not spoken to me on the telephone only email and they are saying unit will now have to be returned and they have no more stock at the moment.
What a bunch of useless people -customer services of an ANT.
I would not recommend to anyone and will never use them again.
Rant over
til the next email

I have had a similar problem, I needed a connetor that was broken in post and they said I would get 1 in next post, it never came. They promised loads of times but nothing. In the end I buy 1 from them and get it in 2 days.
The thing I found with them is they are bad for comms but their prices cant be beaten. but if you are desperate for something and dont want to mess about then your best going else where.

I have just cancelled the order by email and arranged for UPS to collect it tomorrow.
I understand the problems of running a business but this is just too much.
Yes they are the manufacturers and most others buy from them but I would rather pay a few more £'s and actually have someone that can help you at the end of the phone .

Jeff pure freedom do not appear to do 40/40's according to their site
Looks like I have got to start shopping around again.

Does anyone know if I can start the process of getting my business debit card refunded or have I got to wait for these useless idiots  ??? ???

Russ, I agree "what a shambles!!"
A friend of mine bought the same system of them 3 months ago, didnt have a clue how to put it together so I helped him with the connections.
The problem was that the R/O membranes were already connected to one another, I didnt check against the diagramme, which cost him within 2 weeks a new membrane as they were connected wrongly and his 1st membrane died.
The pre-filters(also pre-installed!) were in the wrong order!.
They were not co-operative and didnt replace him the membrane, costing another 30 quid.
My advice to you would be to make the dealer give you a definate delivery date and DONT trust any pre-installed parts check with the manual.

Manual  ??? ??? ???
You are joking
their email responses were 'instructions are printed on the back board'
This was how to flush the system.
Absolutely nothing on how to put the r/o pipes/fixings together nor the pump or controller.
Please be warned Mr.RO-Man your customer services (lack of) is travelling fast ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Never been to RO-Man but I expect I would get better service at the counter ::)

I also live about half hour drive from wyvale where they make the water tanks, that our suppliers supply us with.
I never realised this until I bought my tank from a supplier, and there was the sticker,  ::)
I wouldn't mind so much, but I fitted there security alarm in there factory, some years back ::)
