From Trolley to Van Mount
« on: September 17, 2007, 01:03:40 pm »
Hi All,

I've used a Freedom Trolley since Jan 06 for all my WFP work, it's served me very well.

However, I recently purchased a 400L tank to fit into my van, I'm going to dismantle the trolley and use the battery, pump varistream controller etc... from it, but to be honest I'm not sure how to go about it  ???

I can obviously wire everything up the same as the trolley is wired... But:

1. How do I secure the tank?

2. Do I need my RO system in the van, or can I transfer water into it from my garage?

3. How do I go about connecting hoses etc..?

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Andy. answer to question 1, get the tank welded to the van floor with metal securing brackets safer than racket straps
question2: yes you can you just pump it in, you will need a pump (get larger filling hose or will take forever. you can have the RO in your van or garage.

Yes, the trolley can be used as a van mount as well, but I don't really have enough room in my van for big tank and trolley.
