Premier travel Lodge Tip
« on: September 11, 2007, 08:10:44 pm »
The premier Travel lodge that I do, is linked to a large Tavern, and over the past 6 weeks, this Tavern had a complete refit, when I do the Tavern and the Travel lodge, I always get payed in cash for them both from the till.
I seem to recal some time back that one or two guy's on here were owed a lot of money from these places?

I did a builders clean today and when I finished, I wrote out my invoice as usual,
I handed it to the manager S, She replied can you come back after the weekend? as we have no cash in the tills, I knew this, but thought they may have had some petty cash in the safe, so asked anyway.

It never bothered me that they never had the money, a nice tidy sum I might add,
so I said to the Manager S, would you prefer me to send the invoice to head office this time around?
As quick as a flash, she said 'NO don't do that, or you will never get your money
and then you'll stop coming'  (to right)

So if anyone has Premier Travel Lodges or intend to get them, make sure you can get your money from there petty cash, do not send in invoices.

Other way round for me!

Never got a penny from the Manager, it was always just about to be sent. In the end I got fed up sent a letter to head office, after some time I got the money and about £160 in late payment fees and interest!

I did HAART estate agents for years until 1 new P**** of a manager moved in and tried to save about 50p a week on the price, they owed me well over £100 for over 8months i kept waiting after they told me that they would settle the bill. They paid me through BACS and when i finally had enough i walked in the branch 1 day and said that if i didn`t get my money i was going to take legal action,my money was paid in the bank the next day.

Hi Alex
Do you still do them?? If so the  manager S, told me they are allocated a certain amount each month for window cleaning (plus other things)
So it may be just the manager who's playing a gonk.

Hi Jeff

It took nearly a year to get the account settled so funnily enough I let them go......

I think you're right though - it was down to the new Manager not doing her job.

Don't blame you letting it go, I would have done the same, if you ever do go for another one though, make sure its petty cash payments, they do have the cash for W/C
I have seen 2 managers since I started, and each one payed me cash, They now owe me 3 figures for today, and I pick it up in cash on Monday.
