contrat job/ help
« on: August 21, 2007, 01:44:01 pm »
hi

i have been asked to do a quote for a pub. The lady wants 2-1/2 hours from monday to friday and 3 hours on saturday and sunday.

She has a girl coming everday to do the cleaning but she is  leaving her. I have asked her if i can see the pub before i wrote a quote so to make it more accurate.

What do u think is this what i should have done or was it better if i priced her straight away??
Also what price i have to have in mind for a pub job? is it hourly or quartely or yearly?
Can u help me please?

Thanks
Paris James

Hi I've never done pub cleans but you should certainly check any job out before quoting cause you don't want to go in blind. If the landlady is asking for a spectific amount of hours per day you could always quote her an hourly rate but if you find you cannot complete all the tasks in that period re-neogotiate the terms.
Good luck

hi

I agree - you should always check the job out first before taking it on plus list all the jobs they want doing in detail. I've never done pub cleans myself as I've have been told they can be a bit of a pain.

One of the downsides I can see for pub cleans is the hours, I presume its all got to be done before opening? Though not many shut now! We have just been ask to take on a clubhouse for a golf course but its all got to be done by 7.30am, the money is good and its a contract for life as long as the standards are high but working everyday (including weekends) not good for the ever increasing bags under my eyes!!

hi

maybe pay somebody for the weekend clean.. it gives you a bit of a rest and maybe to organise your paperwork and other work rather to be working 24/7 and be headless chiken...
