does it actually fit on a hozelock reel? or have you put it on an exspensive metal one?
I've had the same problem with leaks and spent all afternoon re-plumbing my system with better hose and brass fittings and the only thing giving me grief is that damn plastic hosereel spindle , its thread seems to be slightlly too big , really frustrating as it always leaks whatever. I'm reluctant to shed out 60 odd quid on a new reel especially as its bolted down and is more than robust enough for 60 meters of microbore. However I have seen this in my local screwfix http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=13418&ts=28406
about half the price of the online wfp suppliers reels after delivery, and this ones 10 mins from me.
Do you think it could be suitable bolted to the bulk head or ply panel?

I doubt if anything fits a poxy Hozelock reel - it's a bast*rd thread size.
