Has anyone had dealings with Prochem. We are a small cleaning business in Cornwall and as part of our service we do clean carpets. This is not on the scale of you big boys, have been using a Nilco which i must say has up to now proved very good, but bless her, i need to put her into retiremment, so started to look around for a similar size machine and come across "Fivestar" from Prochem. So with pound notes in pocket, rang them to find out how one goes about purchasing this machine, No agent. They don't have anyone in Cornwall that sells machines so i could have a look, Can I purchase direct? Yes but they have no stock will be at least three weeks.I thought they made these machines? The rep put me in touch with A&D supplies in Devon, very nice and helpful, they can get me a Truvox overnight. Perhaps Prochem are that big they don't want to deal with small business. We all started somewhere!!! I will never use Prochem Chemicals or promote there name anymore.
Any of you guys had anything to do with Truvox machines.

Know what you mean even my local Prochem/Hydromist agents don’t keep any in stock so one can have a look see.

Do you really need a walk behind machine? If so then you have the prex 100 or 300

Truvox rotaries blinding orbis bit lightweight but that’s another game

In a round about way you have summed the situation up correctly.
Prochem is really not interested in dealing with you, me, or any other individual directly.  They want to deal with their distributors/agents only.  Makes life far more simple for them.
Have a Prochem machine and know the people at Prochem. Have even had one of them tell me, if you want any hardware items, go to one of our distributors as you will get a better price than we can give you at head office

thanks for your replys The trouble i have down here is houses are often up or down a load of slate stairs or behind a load of houses up a road you can't drive down, park as close as you can and walk the rest of the way and the room they want doing is at the back of the house!!!
So thats why i need a machine that i can carry but at the same time one that is going to do a good job and looks proffesional I have been told a rug doctor would fit my needs but it does not look the part and everyone can hire one.

Am sure the Five Star will suit your needs.  Have you tried any distributors. Am sure one or the other will have one in stock. (Try Cleansmart). Can't imagine shipping costs to be that great as the thing only weighs about 25kg from memory.

Good point David.   Local supplier always an advantage in terms of servicing etc.  But what machine do Solutions have.  The Scorpion would appear to be overkill for Paul's requirements.

Solutions sell a smaller version of the scorpion but may well be to
small for the job in hand, i dont know but well worth a look
they also sometimes have second hand units as well.
Any way if they are close to Paul go and take a look and have a chat
Nick will also give plenty af good construstive advice.
He also has a very good range of cleaning solutions.
I personaly buy the bulk of my cleaning solutions from nick.
The rest from prochem ie ultrapac renavate good for the dirty polyprops.
