Temporararily laid off due to flood damage.
« on: August 12, 2007, 08:05:30 am »
I work on my own and a couple of weeks ago when we had bad floods in our area.  2 of my homes that i clean were flood damaged so untill they are repaired, i am unable to clean them.  Problem is i will now be £300 plus light in my earnings.  Customers want me back when homes are repaired but in the meantime i have to struggle along.  My question is "what would you do in my situation?" Would you hang on and wait to start work with them again? or would you forget them and take on something else?
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!

Your in business to make money, so if you have to take on new clients to replace what your losing then that's what to do.

It could be a long time until they are ready for you again . I would  look for other work , and when they do  contact you again its extra for you .
