H&S is paramount to working practise and the method/risk assessment is as important as turning up with all the right tools.
Ricky - no one has said that the risk assessment that Chris was after wasn't site specific. - the copy he has had was for a Sainsburys store in Wakefield and was site specific and was personalised to our trading name and specifically to me - so it cannot be used by another company!!!
What Chris wanted was the fabric and backbone of what to put into the statement. Most people aren't confident with the detail and probably haven't done as many as we have.
I gave him a copy of the statement to do what he wants with - so he has an understanding of what needs to go in to one and so that he can create his own template - if he uses a similar style to ours I will be chuffed to bits and if it helps him to win a contract over the next man it will prove that it is a good document.
It is the best risk assessment I have ever seen and it hasn't cost him a penny.
You have accreditation after your name - important sounding but I don't think you were giving the information away for free!!!!
Networking works and the sharing and giving of information is what this forum exists for.
I don't knock personal enterprise - we are all here to make money but I wil wager that whatever you draft for him will not be better than what he has had for free!!!!
The original document had an £800.00 cost and it has been improved upon!!!!!
I wish you well and much success but you aren't aware of me and don't know my working practises and don't know of the lengthy conversation that two window cleaners - networking, had at lunchtime today.
50% of my current business is for Sainsburys on a national level - through the principal contractor - the RG Group. They will not settle for non specifics at any level.
Good luck
Rob
