Closing Velux Windows
« on: August 02, 2007, 09:22:58 pm »
Hi All,

I discovered today that some Velux windows have rain sensors on them.  So, me thinks ::) ::) if I sprinkle the sensor the window will close ::) ::) ::)

IT DID ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Maybe I'm the last window cleaner to discover it ;D ;D

Its a pain when there open. I just miss them out even if there open a little!

Where is the sensor i do quite a few velux windows and have never seen a sensor.

Maybe my customers have vintage versions.

Niceandclean,

Thank God you replied.  Begining to think I was goin mad ;D ;D ;D

For the others................

Look at the top of the frame on velux windows.  If there is a little square on one side then give it a little sprinkle ;) and see what happens ;) :D

the sensor is in the lounge, usually a straight object varies from 4-7 ft tall, has two arm 2 legs etc, squirt enough water at them through the window and its will automatically close the offending window

alternatively i find knocking and asking works the same
