What is eco cleaning?
« on: July 25, 2007, 09:34:24 pm »
How do you define it? What is a chemical? Is there any problem with the content of top brand cleaners?
Im not knocking the eco cleaning thing I just dont think we fully understand it ourselves and so are swept along with it.
I am concsious of using safe products for my own well being but am reluctant to jump on any band wagon , which I think the public and thus cc's may jump on.Without advertising the fact I think I will just explain to my customers that the products I prefer to use ,to my understanding do not pose any problems to health or the environment.
What do you think?

I use what I think will get the desired result.

I reckon there's more toxicity going down the drains of any single pub, daily,  than I produce in a week !

if you can educate the customer into thinking that eco is the way forward which is taking some doing then do it but it is hard also a customer said to me that they didn't want an eco clean because she though it wouldn't be as good as a standard chemical clean and would prefer the cutting edge of the non eco chemical and she was a doctor.

You can please some of the poeple all of the time and all of the people some of the time.

Chris Straker is the man to speek to if you want answers but remember Mike you are like me in the north where money is best left in your own pocket, Chris is in the daft and affluent south where they'll sell their souls for 5 minutes of stardom.

I always make sure that my customers do not drink a pre spray until they have sampled a solvent!

It’s a bit like looking for the holly grail! A few years ago it was micro-splitter wars and what a war that was! ;D I wonder how the new kid (product ???) on the block stacks up against the mirror ;). Carbon footprint one could go on, but I bet a few hollow’s slip if the truth were known. ;D
