Agree with J K, the FSB is a far better organisation, with a lot more to offer, no, pressure, good discount and legal deals, etc.

Another option, might be your local Chamber of Commerce, you should get referrals and strong business contacts there.

What I found with BNI, was, it seemed to be populated with a pretty diverse group who were not very good at marketing their businesses and were hoping to do so, to a captive audience.

Cynical ?

Ironically................I was introduced, by an accountant, we had recently moved to and he ended up costing us money through negligence.

Is the BNI some sought of franchise, cant find who receives the money.

A bit like woolsafe a sheep in wolf’s clothing. Sorry Paul!

If you want commercial work you need to tread the pavements or link up with the big boys

Rob

Were they chartered?

I agree. I joined my local 'chapter' and did very well out of it. When I went to the first open day I was gobsmakked as to how many business I knew already, estate/lettingt agents, I had been to them in the past to pick up kjeys etc once I joined it was much better as they felt they knew and trusted me. I did the 1 to 1's and that helped a lot.

It seriously is worth looking into.

I even thought of joining another group to expand but didnt do it in the end. To many early starts.
