Advertising - Supermarket Cards
« on: September 24, 2004, 11:56:56 pm »
Yes - I know - I was gullible.  2 Years ago I fell for the sales pitch and spent £1500 to go in one of those supermarket business card dispensers.  One call in two years. >:( >:(

It's renewal time in month or so.  Anybody want to be a fly on the wall ?   ;D ;D ;D

Cheers

PS Perhaps I should charge anybody that wants to listen in - that way I could get some of my money back!!

If I learned anything from Joe Polish my investment in his strategies more than paid for itself many times over in that I learned how not to use those kind of useless advertising schemes. You have my sympathy as I too fell for this kind of thing in the past.

Yes, this has been discussed before. I fell for it too, however I managed to get out of it without paying the full amount due, and still got the two year deal. In order to attempt to get something out of it, I regularly pop into the supermarket and grab a handfull of cards, which by contract they have to keep supplied.

Well I've just received THE PHONE CALL!!  I was quite polite considering!  I wonder how the poor s*d trying to get others to sign up for renewal felt after I was through with him??

Never mind.  Case closed.  Time to move on.   :)

I fell for this one too :( I stopped paying for it but I think I'll be made to pay at some point.

If you dont count my time I think I recovered my money.

However like Dave I go in and collect the cards.

And place them in other outlets for free
