LEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THIS DOCUMENT AS IT WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND OUR NEW CLEANING METHODS, AND AVOID ANY CONFUSION BETEWEEN CUSTOMER AND CLEANER.

Clinical Pure Water Cleaning

Today your windows were cleaned using a method, which will soon be the industry standard. As a company wanting to be at the forefront of our industry, we have decided to invest a considerable amount of money, time and effort in this technology which involves the use of fibre glass telescopic poles and 100% pure water, which we filter through laboratory standard deionization vessels.

We are embracing this superior technology for a number of reasons

1) Better cleaning results. The major advantage of pure water is its desire to return to its impure state; hence its capacity to absorb large amounts of dirt from your windows. We use pure water because it is more aggressive than unclean tap water therefore it is more effective against dirt on the glass surface. A word of warning this process involves brushing your windows clean with pure water.  As such they will be left wet and will need time to dry naturally. This may be a bit disconcerting at first, as obviously this is not what our customers are used to. Typically, depending on the condition of glass and frames a window may take 2-3 cleans to become 100% spotless and sterile.

2) Health and safety. Legislation being brought in by new Health and Safety laws will limit the use of ladders as temporary workstations. The law now states that ladders can only be used when all viable alternatives have been considered, and now water fed pole systems are seen as a safer viable alternative and we don’t want to be held liable to prosecution for accidents to staff and customers. I’m sure you would agree that our increased safety is also a huge advantage.

3) Environmentally friendly. Only Pure water is used, eliminating the need for detergents and chemicals that cause damage to the earth, plants animals etc.

4) Reduced disturbance. No more dents in your lawn obviously we tried to minimise this aspect but sometimes the `old fashioned method` made it very difficult.

5) Increased privacy. No more odd faces peering through your upstairs windows .No more embarrassing moments, believe me it does happen, but I will not go into detail!

6) Increased speed. Eliminating the use of ladders results in us spending less time on your property.

Additional Benefits.

7) Both glass and frames are cleaned. This can actually increase the value of your property keeping pvc and wooden frames clean reduces the need for regular painting or replacing pvc windows due to permanent staining.

Cool We can now reach with ease previously inaccessible aspects of your property. High windows, windows above conservatories, velux sky lights etc can all be reached with our new system.

9) We can now clean all aspects of your property. Frames, all UPVC, panelling, canopies, guttering, fascias, garage doors etc.

Please note that over the space of two or three visits the process will `leach` all deposits from around the frames, resulting in an improved finish each time, until ultimately the finish will effectively be sterile. Please be patient if the initial visit is not perfect, as we have been forewarned by our suppliers that two or three visits can be necessary for maximum effect.

We hope that we have covered any questions regarding our new eco friendly pure water system. As you can see there are many benefits using this new system. Our aim continues to give a high level service and customer satisfaction is our watchword. Please feel free to phone or discuss any part of the above or indeed any other aspect of our service. If you have any concerns about this new way of cleaning your windows please let us know and we will endeavour to alleviate your concerns.

Yours thankfully

The above is not really a method statement it’s merely an explanation of the type of window cleaning you supply.

A method statement should firstly consist of you carrying out a Risk Assessment to enable you to identify the possible hazards and the appropriate control measures required to carry out the task safely e.g. cleaning windows.

The “Method Statement “or “Safe System of Work” should outline any hazards and how you would carry out the task safely.

Basically you would need to survey the work area/site and look for the potential hazards and state how you would control them.

You are right pitt monkey that is not a method statement.

A method statement is exactly what is says the methods you are going to use to clean a window.

If you are going to clean a window by hand then all you need to say in your method statement is that i am going to clean a font window 6 foot by 6 foot i will apply the detergent with a 12" applicator and squeegee the water from the glass with a 12" squeegee and will dry any surplus water from the edge of the glass with a microfibre cloth

If you use a ladder say how you will use it.If you use a water fed pole say how you will use it.

What method will you use thats it.

The sterile bit makes me laugh, i would remove it if i were you as it's completely & obviousley not true & any intelligent customer may be put off by thinking "how true is the rest of the statement" ::)
