Unger Carbon tec

Mines over a year old now and has not showed any signs of wear and tear apart from the little rubber seals that cost about 2p each.
What I was thinking is, was I right to buy this pole, it's cost £1700 for 12 sections, 2 brushes and goose necks and 2 water feed assemby sections. Oh and a bag that is crap.
So I've got 1x70 foot pole or 2x35 foot poles and any combination in between.
How does that compare with other outlays on poles for the year, is £1700 reasonable to shell out over the year or not? I can see this pole lasting me a few more years to come as well.
I know it's not the lightest one on the market but that doesn't bother me.
There is a few lads on here with them so I'd be interested to hear from you.

I don`t think you can really put a time on poles everyone treats them differently,we all have different types of work.My view on poles is that if it`s easy to use as light as it can be for it`s height that`s all i`m interested in,if it breaks i`ll buy another theres no way i would work with a crap pole just so i could do myself an injury or just for the sake of saving a few quid.I think the best everyday pole is the 25ft carbon facelift, the only thing you need to do it is replace the bottom plastic caps,it`s basically a thin bit of plastic stuck on the bottom of the pole,it`ll be interesting to see the new Hybrid poles.

I have an Unger Carbon Tec but don't feel too safe using it above 35ft. Anything above that and I'd rather use an Ionics ergolite as it feels safer to work with. The Unger C.T. is a nice rigid pole up to 30ft but after that the balanced weight of the pole feels unnatural. I love using my facelift pole but I made the mistake of buying a 34ft carbon to try it out but should really have bought a 44ft carbon facelift for my work needs. The trouble is that the last 2 sections cost just under half the price of a new 44ft pole which is made up of 8 sections if anyone has a 44ft carbon facelift who doesn't use the last 2sections (only uses their pole up to 34ft) and would like to sell the last 2 sections at a reasonable price then could they send me an email as I would be very interested in buying the last 2 sections. I prefer using the facelift carbon pole in comparison to the Ionic ergolite poles.

How much are the 2 sections for the facelift?
I'm sure cleantech sell them for 100 + vat each.
If i were in your shoes i would ring daniel at facelift, i'm sure he would sort you out ;)

If they're only £100+VAT then I'll buy them. I will have to ring them on Thursday when I'm off for the day. Thanks Tony!
