Tom, there are many 'proper' poles out there. Yes you wont go wrong with a Facelift but do you have around six hundred pounds to spend? You could use fibreglass but at over twenty four feet you'll need arms like legs to reach over conservatories. Yes you can break a facelift down to make a shorter lighter pole but not instantly. If your starting out I suggest you talk to people like Alex Gardiner they have been in the trade a while and know whats best if you tell them your budget. I would say start fairly cheaply then after a couple of months you will know what you need (not what someone else tells you). For me it's fishing poles I like modular, I like the lightest weight and I like the price of some but they are stupidly fragile but I don't have six hundred pounds lying around and couldn't justify spending it at the moment. I might also add it would depend on the type of work you have in mind and that there are some new hybrid poles about that might fit the bill. All down to your budget really.
