My neighbours gone WF Broom
« on: June 08, 2007, 12:38:43 pm »
I went out in my back garden just now and my next door neighbour is out there with a hose pipe with a spray nozzel and she is spraying her windows scrubbing them with a normal broom and spraying them again.  ;D

She then goes to me thats all right isn't it paul.

I had to hold back my laughter but said thats it , Its all in the rinse.

I can't wait for them to dry  ;D

What if she had it connected to a small DI vessel?. Don't think we'll be laughing much if that takes off.

I agree lwc.  every one knows how to clean a car. how to clean thier house. how to mow the lawn. how to iron etc etc etc . But many people make a good buisiness out of doing these very things. we have nowt to fear.

The only time to panic is when the economy goes bust then we will be dropped like hot coals!!

Right after I borrowed my friend's backpack to try out the other week one of my children put their hands all over the windows. Having given back my friend's backpack, I gave the windows a go over with the 'Flash car washer', which is in effect a hand held DI unit that fixes to the end of your garden hose, and they came up a treat. I didn't even have to use the soap. Just rinsed with tap water, sponged over them then rinsed with filtered water.

I wouldn't advertse this to my custies though (because you can pick them up quite cheaply now). It's not much good for doing the tops though unless your a bit of an enterprsing character in which case it could be done.

I haven't seen these or even know the prices but can you imagine customers having to keep buying/storing resin not knowing without a TDS meter wether or not it's spent ;)
Won't take off much round here with a 240 TDS reading (hopefully) ;D

You'd be suprised what they'll take off. It leaves my car and my house windows spotless.

Don't know what my TDS is but I know it's high though (Essex).  I believe it to be between 3-400.

If you've not seen a 'flash home car wash system' look here (but don't tell your nieghbour):

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRAND-NEW-FLASH-CAR-WASH-HOME-CARWASH-SYSTEM_W0QQitemZ170119572105QQihZ007QQcategoryZ72201QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

In my area they are selling the resin cartridges for £1.99 and you get between 5-10 car washes out of one depending how hard your water is.

My next door neighbour has got an R/O as he uses it for his pond but i won't tell them to use that water.
Anyway i don't clean there windows although they have ask quite a few times but i don't want work that close to home.
