Hi steve

guerrilla marketing is about low cost marketing, PR based, so its great for carpet cleaning. as with JP it moves so easily from product to product or service to service, so don't pay loads of money for anything that carpet cleaning based as you might get the same info cheaper from another area.

one guerrilla idea that i have been thinking about is a billboard van, let me explain our vans are advertisement for our business, so why not buy a second van get it signed wrapped and park it each day at a local junction around our local area? how many times have you have someone say i got the number from your van?

regarding to cost, compared with the yellow pages i think this would out perform it. I have spent over £13k over the last two years with them and not got the return that i wanted. so if i just spent say a few thousand get a van that had flat paintwork and got it wrapped i estimate it can be done for about 3K

also the van could be used for other things. unlike YP if it does not work you just remove the signs and sell the van.

my main carpark in town chargs just £7.50 a day to park, and i think that thats got to be cheaper than paying someone to drop say 1K leaflets

Instead of a van, why not buy the other half an unusual car, such as one of those smart jobbies?

It'd hold it's value better and when it's not parked up she could be drinving it around.

As an added bonus she'll be happy that you bought her a car, even if it's got adverts all over it!

The other thought I had was car stickers like wot the radio stations use. Give em away free and offer a monthly prize (Free clean or whatever) for the owner of a car you spot displaying a sticker

i ran a competition for my maid service for referrals that work really well. the smart idea would work well as my USP at the mo is Eco. I am also going to get a sandwich board made up with a card holder and chain it to lamppost outside schools with a card dispenser on it.

its these type of ideas that give you some kind of return Evan if they don't work that's guerrilla marketing. sometime we forget that because it cheap its not worth doing.

All good idea but I cannot remember hearing them on CDs

Although they might be in the books.

I have not said this before as I donot like kbnocking products but I found no new information in this CD set.

Basicaly he has pinched ideas  from Joe Polish Dan Kenedy and Jay Abrhams and repackaged them

At least joe or jim did come up with a USP that was diffrent when it first came out.

This Guy just says find one.

thanks just as i thought lots of info can be got for a fraction of the price that's why these forums are so good, about a month ago i saved about £500 from some advise on here.

i like to see more side by side testing of machines and products, services etc. as when someone buys something it unlikely that they will be negative about Evan if they privately think they might have made a mistake.

it's funny how much rubbish is about and still gets bought.

it was whoever gave me the most referrals got free their home clean free for a year. it was for my maid service, it added about 25k to my turnover and only cost me about 1.5k in wages to do the free clean.

we sent out letters to our database and as a grabber we use lottery tickets. created a real buzz. if you do this you must run it ethically you need to tell people how to win and publish the results to all that enter.
