Horizontal @ 31ft
« on: May 21, 2007, 09:54:13 pm »
Some have wanted to know about low angle working but I cannot find the topic to reply to, Bill wanted to see a pic and Dave and others have asked about distance working. Heres a pic showing an F16 at 31ft straight span and working with no support at a low angle of 10 degrees as I was standing on the raised garden to do this over the conservatory. The brush is at an angle of 90 degrees to the pole. The pole is not resting on the gutter, its that stiff  :) Couldnt show a pic of it working as I had to take the pic.
Hmm forum wont accept an Immage shack link anyone any ideas ?

Ok its over on Peter Fogwils forum heres the link-

Its a very light 42ft modular Fishing pole instrument that reduces injury problems and is a delight to work with.

Thanks for that Jeff, I feel in the loop now  :)

I am looking at a CF 30 ft pole at my local fishing shop but am a bit concerned about successfully attaching the brush to the pole. I am working on a few ideas and enjoy reading about your progress which is where I get my ideas from - thanks for the original ideas!

Use the terminology, "hit and hold or commercial fisheries or margin pole quality" at 30ft  look at  carbon composite poles but if you need to go a bit higher ask can they take parallel extensions.
Are you able to follow the diy link in my info below ?

Yes, I have been following your threads there but purely on a need to know basis as due to my style of work I may have a possible need for a 35 ft reach pole. Having only 2 customers with such needs I would not have an interest in investing  too much.

The example shown in the photograph could be done easily via 18' pole and step ladders.

Yes, I agree with you. It can be done but not safely!!!!

I have done it my self and would NOT recommend anyone else to do it! The main reason we switch to wfp is for safety. ;)

Designer, the example pic was just that, an illustration to show that it can go not 18ft but 31ft horizontal.

I have used it at 35ft but the brush control is not easy so I use a 4oz Z pad.

As soon as there is something new everyone keeps challenging it and testing it to destruction , how far, long or how lasting etc.  :-*
Its max height now is 83ft.

Last time I looked there was no height restrictions in the £5 mill. £20 per month, type of policy I hold.
