i use a sebo its costly it broke quick and i am not sure its better than ones half its cost (270.00) plus crazy bag costs.

consider a good upright with rotating brushes, but dont go mental and keep up with the joneses.

in retrospect id buy a 100.00 pound hoover and see how it did.

Conrad,

This will be the first of many recommendations for the Sebo BS36 or the wider BS46.

I have one that is only a few weeks old but have others that are up to 20 years old and still working well (despite repairs to hose).

The only failure I have had is one brush motor that burnt out after 10 years.

John.

Conrad, go on Ebay and buy a Kirby or look in the Hull daily mail,

I've used them for years, they are built like a tank although they are a bit heavy for a little lad like you ;)
