Craftex along with many other suppliers do a sachet, approx 6 or 7 quid which will cover most jobs.

A powder diluted in a sprayer and applied after cleaning the carpets. It has Permethrin in it which kills the fleas and larvae.

Most powder insecticides available to us DO NOT dissolve in water, but are merely suspended in water which allows a better and even distribution of the product.  It is essential to remove ALL filters from your sprayer as these will simply catch the suspended insecticide and allow just the water to be applied to the carpet :o

Safe and happy de-bugging :)

Hi Guys,

The only product that works in my experience is 25 % w/w Pemethrin.

The percentage relates to the amount of active ingredient.

A few years ago I sourced some from an agricultural supplier , it is also used to control flies etc.

As Ken says it is a suspension and is supplied as a powder.

Cheers

Doug

The one I got from Alltec was a liquid which you mixed as you went.

I prefered it to the pwdered types.

My concern about using these products and charging for the service is can we be sure we have killed the infestation.

How much would you charge?
