guys,
I don't know why so many of you feel it is neccessary to move furniture why make your job any harder then it already is we are carpet cleaners not furniture movers. The customers i have worked for in the pass have always been fine about clearing the room before i come round. When you do a quote for a customer just tell them i would appreciate it if you could have the room clear when i come to do the job.

That sounds great...but do you think many customers would move their 3 piece suite into another room for you... ???
I`m talking about sliding furniture into middle of room and then sliding it back when done.

Hey Colin ! A bit of sense for a change. As I've already pointed out. I've just bought some carpet and you can carpet that sized room with an ok quality carpet for less than some are charging to clean it. But thats assuming they are telling the truth.

I would charge £75.00 for a carpet 15x12 that would come under our minimum call out charge and then we would 33.00 per square yard there after

Keep your standard prices high, you can then use this to work in your favour!

"Our normal price to everyone else would be £68 but I can do you a very-special-not-to-be-repeated-pensioner-discount of 25% if you have it done by the end of the week. Aren't I nice?" <cheesy grin at customer>

steve and terry,
Yes they do mate all my customers have the rooms clear before i come round this is never a problem if i had to do it on my own i would charge accordingly for it. You could quite easily put your back out moving customers furniture then you could be off work for quite some time un paid so it makes sense don't give in so easy lads lol.
