Rough feel
« on: March 19, 2007, 12:30:26 pm »
Hi,

I've just cleaned an 80/20 with craftex Low PH Fibrecare, The results were very good but when dry the carpet feels rough to touch, not excessively but still not soft.

It could just be my lack of knowledge and I'm doing something wrong but I just thought I'd run it by you guys and see if you've come across this problem.

For the record, and you guys that don't know I'm not an established carpet cleaner, I'm just getting a feel for different chemicals using samples I've obtained.

Cheers

Andy

if it is a twist pile, they don't always feel "soft"

Hi Andy

Just a thought, but it could be that you have mixed too much detergent into you cleaning solution. If this is the case, rinse it through with just plain water and spray a mist of acidic rinse over everything you've cleaned. Groom and blow dry.
