Best resin?
« on: March 11, 2007, 02:02:24 pm »
Before I had my r/o van mount I had only ever used 'purolite' in my d i vessel. It never lasted any amount of time (just a few hundred litres). My friend had always used 'roman smething' and it lasted ages! When he ran out recently he used some of mine, and he too concluded it was naff. Don't know what the stuff in my van mount is, but it's lasted 3 months already.
What's the best resin in your experience?
My tap tds is 300.

Rohm is pretty good, have heard Dowex is also good. The problem with Rohm is that they are having production problems so you will see a lot of suppliers run out of it.

I've tried Purolite and Rohm and found Rohm a bit better. I now use another brand which I am very pleased with the results but I am the only supplier of it in the UK, the downside I only supply to Scotland.

There is also another brand which most suppliers are changing to called Bayer.

These are the brands on the market,

Doug

I've always found Dowex to be top stuff.

dowex is the best, & i agree purolite is crap. dowex will last far longer & hold a low tds for much longer than purolite. ;)
