Problem with back pack switch
« on: March 13, 2007, 09:39:26 pm »
My Surflow backpack is playing up.  I don't use it every day, but need it on Thursday.
It switches on OK, but only to the first setting. I need it to run on number 2 setting at least. I can only switch it off by stopping the flow and leaving it.
The battery is fully charged. Anyone else had this problem?
Any help appreciated. Dai

Yes I have had a similar problem with mine( SHURflo SR600 ).It is just over 12 mths old, bought it direct from Williamson Pumps, spoke to them, could be a problem with some of the pure water accidently soaking the switch when pouring it in.
You can order a new switch approx £45,just waiting to fit mine,I will let you know how I get on, speak to them they are very helpfull.0845 226 3638

I would agree with steve that it's probably the switch gone so ring either Williamsons or:

Cleantech on 01563 550 450
Option 2 and speak to Mike

Thanks guys, have ordered a new one from Cleantech.
The e-bay bargain wasn't such a bargain after all. If I had bought one from this country I would have had a guarantee. Dai
