You should start with a £10.00 minimum charge, you will find most customers will pay this, providing you do a good job.

Hi peter

We are from cannock, price as you see is best, i would n,t charge £10.00 minimum, theres to many small houses & terraces. Rule of thumb is 60p to £1 per window. Depending on size or height.

I do a quite a few residentials in Walsall and charge £8 minimum for a bog standard semi. There's a lot of new up market-ish estates popping up bought mainly by Asians who see having a window cleaner as a bit of a status symbol so charge accordingly ;) I did one, a four bed detached, last week in and out for £35 - cracking looking Asian bird too - if you like that sort of thing :P

Hi Mark & KJG

Seems to be more appearing on here local to me, we work in both areas, mainly commercial, but, have setup father-in-law with spare van.

I wont do domestic in stafford so could possibly pass on work in future, got a few in walsall but, realy its out of area. I think its good to work together to build & pass between each other if you both gain work in the area you want to be.

We are in stafford all week doing commercial so if you see a big blue cherry-picker appearing over the roof line thats us.

Hello,

I live in Walsall and have got 126 customers so far around the area. (part time round)

Not sure about the £10 minimum, i think that you will cut your potential customers down doing that but i can see the thought behind it (thinking of the future)

My prices range from £6 minimum (takes about 15/20 mins) right upto a big £50 house in Shenstone (2 hours 30 mins).

I price by using a £20 per hour minimum and i'm getting new customers all of the time. Just before christmas i was getting new work literally every time i went out and i don't canvas anymore. Picked two more up this week.

Any local w/c's, drop me an email to say hello : carlburns@blueyonder.co.uk

We can swap details and if i can put any work your way then i will. I'm actually looking to sell my round some time this year - Got just over £1000 every 4 weeks based on prices between £20-£30 per hour.

I'm going into IT - hope i dont regret it !!   :)
