Hi troops yet another WFP question, as you all may or may not know i will be getting my system this week and i was just woundering about frames. Some of the frames i will be cleaning will be old and wooden with paint flaking, will they be ok, and is ther any other pointers yous can give me when cleaning old lead and gourgen windows?

it sometimes works ok. other times no matter how long you spend on them they wont be right.
   my best advice is on the first clean do all the frames first removing as much of the flakes and muck as possible ,then go back cleaning just the glass and avoiding the frames, warn the customers due to the condition of their frames they may not be perfect, if on the following cleans your customers are not happy then on these jobs i would go back to using ladder, some would say get rid of the job but i am their to provide a service and sometimes the ladder is the right tool to provide the service.

what i do is if the paint is flaking on the frames i just do the glass only.

If its that bad, just do the glass. Learn to be carefull not to wet the frame at the top, even the slightest amount will bring dirt down. Always do the frame if poss.

Cheers, but from a claims point of view the water wont go into the wood will it and effect is, i no rain dosent but just being safe not sorry.

The water won't damage the wood any more than rain. If it isn't properly water proofed, that's their concern.
