Are you Straight or do you Swivel??
« on: March 02, 2007, 04:59:16 pm »
Just for fun Guy's,
Are you Straight or do you swivel,  ;D ;D that is do you use the straight type brush, or do you use Gaz's swivel brush. there is a lot being sold lately.

I use to be straight but since I bought Gaz's swivel brush, I am finding it more and more difficult to even think of putting my vikan back on.

What do you guys do????? funny comments welcome ;D ;D

Jeff, i use to be straight  ;D and have converted many men to swiveling(including yourself),but i think there are many that are still in the straight closet and will end up becoming a swiveler  ;)

Funnily enough, I swing both ways   ;D
I have a 16" Vikan brush on an Omnipole gooseneck.  I have the nut tightened up enough to hold the brush in position but just loose enough so I can swivel it if I apply a bit of pressure.  So it's probably better not to have your nuts too tight.

So you are a bi-swiveler,  ;D

After some teething troubles with the brush, I came out swivelling today for the first time.
My findings so far:

Well only my first day, so I'll have to give it time.
Very light brush, in fact so light I found myself pushing hard on the pole to scrub!  This caused the brush to often swivel uncontrollably on the end of my 18' pole.  I got the hang of it a bit more as time went on.  I like the narrow jets Gaz has fitted, less water, more power.  I prefer pencil to fan anyway.
i'll have to wait and see if I get any complaints next time around.
So far, (after one day) I think the swivel idea is very good, I need to develop the technique, so I'll give it time.  Shame Ionics don't do it, because I find their brushes best, (not a shame for Gaz though ;)).
Not knocking Gaz, though, decent guy to deal with and speak to.
 Just speaking as I find.

I have only been doing wfp for three months but for the last three weeks I changed to the swivel brush I find it more accurate and as for the positions you can get in while swiveling is no ones business ;D

I predict that the swivel will soon be made obsolete by the rubber bellows.
I bought a floor mop from Aldis the other week with the bellows fitted. It swivels in any direction and then srings back to centre when you lift the brush off.
If a rubber moulding company make them to fit a standard brush, It's by by swivel.
It looks a bit like the rubber you get on the bottom of some car gear sticks.
IT WILL COME, BELIEVE ME. Dai
