O Rings in winter
« on: October 13, 2007, 02:33:24 pm »
What with the cold weather rapidly approaching, Im sure we have all been caught out by a frozen o ring on our wands? Even though we all either bring it all indoors or run heaters, you never know...

I have run out of spare ones so just bought these: http://www.polymax.co.uk/acatalog/O-Rings_2mm_Cross_Section_NBR.html  (2.5X2N70 top of list - these being 2.5mm i.d. and 2mm thickness). I measured one to make sure but didnt use a micrometer!

They are rated as operating down to -30 degrees C so should be ideal if anyone gets caught out in normal bad frosts?

Hope it helps
