Try a paint roller, with sticky tape wrapped around so tacky surface is on outside,
I find it works well

i had this problem before xmas, i usually find that a pre-spray and then with brushing that in, the brush picks up all the hair, the problem i had was that the cat hair was so fine and lots of it that it wouldn't budge out of the pile, it was almost woven in. i made a 'broom' with a hack-saw blade on the end of a handle and it got some out but not really good enough but i would give that a try if all else fails, i think it would work on hair that isn't too fine.

depending on how big is carpet................maybe a  brush for cats....like a wire brush gets most of it out ............. or failing that a pair of addidas on wet carpet works well
life is one big learning experience!!!!!!!

Try a rubber glove if the brush isn't up to the job

I'd suggest any of the contra rotating machines like Host, Envirodry etc.

These are the bees knees, we have had one of the small ones for ages and they are great, especially for doing upholstery and stairs.  Valeters use them all the time for doing car seats and carpets.

Didn't know they came in a full length size, so just reserved a large and small set, at that price you cannot fail.

You can get them from Bettaware or Lakeland plastics etc.

Hi

Try a host or Envirodri machine, that way you can get it all out, even from the bottom of the pile, it will gather in thick clumps around the room, if you don't have, get someone in who does?

all we use is a long handled deck scrubber, they have very short tightly packed nylon bristles and will collect all types of hair out of the carpet, usually for sale in local diy shop for a few pounds.

I've had one for about twelve years and still swear its the only thing that really removes cats and dog hair.

It does have to be a very short bristle one tho as anything longer wont grip.
