POLE/BRUSH/ACCESSORY
« on: February 10, 2007, 07:31:01 pm »
Having a prob picking the right pole combo. Gardinerpoles is my favoured site. I am all residential and need at least 24' pole. Just starting out on WFP so price is critical. So glass fibre is favoured. like the look of the predator poles but the accessory list is confusing...to me anyway.... ;D

What size brush?
Plastic neck or aluminium gooseneck?
Connection? hoselock?

Will be going for a backpack, omnipole/sureflo...not decided yet. Ro man unit 75gpd 4 stage with DI.

Also how does the backpack hose connect to pole? And finally how does the water reach the brush, hose inside or outside the pole?

How much resin should I order to get started?

Yeah you guessed...total newbie..... :(

All info appreciated... ;)

Hello KINGAKNAA, lot of questions there. Personally I dont really like the Predator as it is heavy although very solid, there are lighter poles available which are about the same price. Check out this site it is very helpful. http://www.windowcleaningresources.co.uk/
Also a 75gpd r/o will not be of much use in my humble opinion as you will need a lot of water every day. A merlin might be a better option. I am pretty sure Gardiners sell them as do most other sites. As for connections we use all microbore and don't have any problems. I imagine who ever sells you the pole etc will help you out with all your other queries.
Regards Michael

Thanks for that Michael, as I said, cost is an issue, prices on the Merlin around £220. Will have a gander at that site and price some poles up.

The more I read on this site the more my head spins..... :o pretty daunting starting off but am committed to it.... ;)
