ro waste water ?
« on: January 10, 2007, 09:41:02 pm »
Hi all
been thinking about my waste water
i am lucky and live in a very soft water area
my tds readings are 76  from the tap and after going through my ro
my waste is 136
If i was to save my waste in a sepeate tank and then pump it back through my ro
would this cause me any problems ,other than needing to change my filters more often? and the need to back wash my ro more regularly
might not sound much  waste of water ,
But have heard that you can get a redution on your water bill, if you can prove that the water you are using is not returned to the sewer

Thoughts please

Andy

if the waste is 176 mine is 575 and in is 280tds on mine yours is 76 use the waste as well with no probs
i use 600lts daily 25ltr di polisher after ro tds is 3ppm after di 000ppm the resin
has lasted so far 10 months and i expect it too last at least an other 10.
so i can not see it costing a great fortune after all your waste is half my tap in
supply
