Water Softening?
« on: December 29, 2006, 10:27:29 am »
Sifting through all the brochures I have (yes I'm bored) and trying to decide on the right wfp system regards value for money - expensive system/cheap van or expensive van/cheap system I find that a couple of the expensive manufacturers mention water softeners in hard water areas for static systems. Is hard water a problem for van mount RO units? or do you just use more resin or change mambranes more frequently?

In short NO, water-softeners DONT reduce the TDS of the water, it only softens it, if you get a van mount RO system then it will prolong the life of the RO and your home will benefit as well
