good idea?
« on: December 04, 2006, 06:41:53 am »
last winter I was very concerned about my machines freezing in the back of the van overnight. It occured to me that the innards of my machine are the same as a cars i e water pump and pipes so I thought why not put a little antifreeze in the machine at the end of the day. It worked a treat and my machine never froze once.  Here in the Highlands it can get as low as minus twenty some nights.

Hi Geoff, I take my floor and hand tool into the house. When I'm putting anti freeze in the machine I run the pump until the hoses contain antifreeze.
